Our mission:
The mission of the Innovation Lab HS Library is to provide resources, instruction, and support to students and staff. The ILHS Library teaches students to be effective users and producers of ideas and information. Promoting reading advocacy, creativity, information literacy, and digital citizenship in a positive, welcoming environment is key.
Library Hours:
I am available to help students on Tuesdays (I work at North Creek HS the other days). When I am not available, students may use this form before borrowing their books of choice. There are also many eBooks available that can be checked out 24/7! Browse our library catalog.
About the library: Books may be borrowed for three weeks (and renewed if not on hold by another student...send me an email).
Library Staff:
Mrs. Briley, teacher-librarian:
Since I began my educational career in 1995, I've worn many hats as an educator, teaching high school English and journalism; middle school language arts/social studies, leadership, speech/debate, study skills/reading lab, and peer tutoring; elementary FSA special education; and serving as a National Junior Honor Society Advisor, supervising teacher, and LA/SS department chair. By far, wearing my librarian hat outshines them all: I love making connections with students and staff while sharing all the resources and services the library has to offer.
My joys: reading with my kitties, trees in autumn, photography, swing dancing, singing, cookies, random acts of kindness, and adventuring outside with my husband, son, and daughter.
