Student Guidance for Power and Internet Outages

Power outages in the Pacific Northwest are a common occurrence during fall and winter months. Internet outages occur from time to time, even when power is maintained. Please follow the guidelines below if you find yourself without power or Internet during Northshore Learns 3.0:

Power OFF or Internet OUTAGE for your Teacher?

Your teacher will make every effort to let you know if their power has gone out before class, so please check your district email for additional guidance. If you are unsure what to do then follow these steps:

  • Log into Schoology.
  • Continue work on previously assigned learning activities.
  • Participate in asynchronous learning activities that are posted in Schoology course(s).

NOTE:  If a teacher’s power or internet goes out during class, log off of Zoom. Work on known learning activities or assignments, or on other asynchronous learning activities that are posted in Schoology course(s).

Secondary students should try logging back in after 15 minutes and again after 30. Students should attend other classes according to their regular schedule.
